/signed, yea the same thing is already there on the material maker.
It messes with the dynamic item prices GW has, but it usually doesn't change while you are clicking anyway, nor is it logical the trader can change it price in the middle of a bartering session and not have me rip his soul out for trying to rip me off.

Yeah. Even if the purchase is made one by one, they should change the sstem so only a couple of clicks is needed, then then the rest is automatically.

yeah but you have to "request quote" everytime because the cost can change as in
if 5 people did it this new way then
person 1: 3 ecto
person 2: 40 ecto
Person 3: 25 ecto
person 4: 75 ecto
person 5: 2 ecto
so in the space of 5secounds, 145 ectos have been bought at the same price.
this could be seriously abused by people (10+ or guilds) each buying 50- X each iun the space of 1 min, they request quote once, then all buy at the same time, raising the price by alot, then selling it to people cheaper.
/signed it it maxed at 5 per click.

Depends on how they impliment it. I don't want to accidentally buy 200 pieces of wood at once when I meant to buy 20. So long as there is a "confirm" button or something, sure.

It could be like this:
A numberbox to input the amount.
A Start Button (grayed until you input the amount).
A Cancel Button.
- Set amount: X
- Hit start. The client keeps purchasing the items, pack by pack (10 by 10 for crafting materials, 1 by 1 for others)
- You don't have enough gold? The purchasing stops.
- You see the price getting too high? You can hit Cancel anytime to stop the purchasing.
See? It would be client-sided with no changes for the servers, and saving users hands from having to click-click-click-click-click-click-click....

That idea works. Keeps prices from flucuating/being abused as somebody else in this thread mentioned. It actually sounds like a macro.

what about how the trade bar is done. When you go to give someone materials it pops up how many, gold is the same. Just work something like that. As for it being abused, maybe on the rares limit the number to 10-20. Normals a stack of 250.
anyway for the OP /signed

This is how I would implement it:
First you click request quote. Then a box asking for the number you want to buy/sell appears with its default number being the current amount. You enter the number the click the buy/sell button. Then the request quote->buy/sell sequence will happen until one of these conditions is reached:
- Trader runs out of the item if your buying it.
- You run out of gold while buying it.
- The price returned by request quote changes. (I have had this happen to me a few times)
- The amount you entered is bought/sold.
You will still have to wait for each quote to be returned. But the reason I like this implementation is that it is completely client side which means that:
1 - ANET doesn't have to alter the trader pricing algorithm.
2 - It can be implemented either by ANET, or by a third party mod to the client.
But personally I don't really care what implementation is chosen. I just want to get rid of the repetitive clicking.
